Congratulations! You've been hired to narrate an audiobook project. Here are your next steps:
If you're an author who has hired a narrator for a production, follow the steps in this article: ➜Audiobook Production as an Author.
- Click "Download Manuscript" in the Project Details box.
- Review The Author's Republic Audio Requirements.
- Click "View Production Details" in the header for more information including:
- Narration instructions
- Pronunciation guide
- Production cost
- Connect with the author via the message box to discuss the production timeline, and any questions you may have about the manuscript, opening credits script, or closing credits script.
- Record the audiobook and export to meet all audio requirements.
- Upload all necessary audio tracks including:
- Run an Audio Track Validation Report to check whether your files meet requirements.
- Via the message box, let the author know when all audio tracks have been uploaded and are ready for their approval.
- The narrator clicks "Mark as Complete" button, and can leave a review for the author.
- Once the author is happy with all audio files, the author can click the "Mark as Complete" button and leave a review for the narrator. These reviews are currently not public, but may be in the future.
- Author's Republic will release payment to the narrator approximately 45 days after both the narrator and the author mark the production as completed.
Note: If the files are submitted and do not meet all audio requirements, we will reach out to you (the narrator) via email to make the necessary adjustments to the audio files. All projects that you are hired for through Author’s Republic must be edited to our retail partner audio specifications.
