Chapter Track Requirements
Chapter tracks contain the actual body content of the audiobook. This may include chapters, epilogue, afterwords, acknowledgements, and more.
Each chapter track must:
- Meet all audio requirements.
- Be a maximum of 119 minutes in length per track. Chapters longer than 79 minutes must be broken up over multiple tracks.
- Have a section or chapter announcement at the beginning of each file.
- Be sorted in the correct order. Pre-naming your files in order may help.
Sorting Your Chapter Tracks
When you submit your audiobook project, your chapter tracks must be in the correct order that you wish for retailers to display them. Follow the steps below to ensure they are in the correct order.
- Navigate to the "Audio & Cover Art" tab of your distribution project.

Upload your chapter tracks using the "Select a file" button within the Chapter Tracks section.
- Tip: If you select multiple files within the dialogue box and your files are in the correct order within the dialogue box, they should upload in the correct order.
- Adjust the sort order by dragging and dropping files into the correct spot.
- The new sort order will automatically be saved.
