Distribution statuses are used to identify the current stage of the distribution process for your title. In the Distribution Status tab of your audiobook project, each retailer will be assigned a status to indicate how far along they are in the distribution process. This tab will be available once your project is submitted for distribution.
Retailer Links
Retailer links may appear on this page and direct you to the live listings for your audiobooks. Please note that these links are only displayed when available, and not all partners support them, so discrepancies may occur. The absence of a link does not necessarily mean your title isn't live. You can also search online to check if your audiobook is live on a specific retailer's site.
What do the distribution statuses mean?
There are now two different distribution statuses you will see in the Distribution Status by Sales Channel page. Below is a key that may be used to identify what each status means for your title.
| Opted Out | Following Scenarios: 1. You did not select the distribution channel type when submitting your audiobook (Amazon/Audible, Retail & Library Channels, Music Channels). 2. You requested customer service to remove your audiobook from a specific retailer. 3. You requested customer service to opt your entire account out of this retailer. |
| Sent |
Your audiobook files & metadata have successfully been sent to the sales channel. This status is not indicative of the audiobook being live on a retailer's site. This often takes some time after the title has been marked as Sent. Each platform has its own queue for publishing/updating titles. Channels also have the right to reject audiobooks if they do not meet their content standards. |
Please be aware that it can take retailers up to 60 days to list your title on their site. If it has been 60 days since your title was set to Sent, but is not live on that retailer's site, please email support at info@authorsrepublic.com.
